The new blade 1A1R Serpento
For the purpose of gaining in high and steady cutting efficiency technical specialists of Di-Star Company developed the new form of blade’s diamond layer. The Granite Serpento blades for cutting of granite and the Hard Ceramics Serpento blades for cutting of ceramic granite tile will be produced with such new type of diamond layer.
The main advantages of the new form of diamond layer are:
- varying and persistent contact of the side ("waved") surface, that ensures efficient self-sharpening of the diamond layer and, as a result, more productive cutting in comparison with ordinary ("rectangular") diamond layer;
- keeping of the cutting’s straightness;
- reliable side friction protection of the steel body during cutting, that provides its capability.
For comparison, cutting time of 300*300*8 mm ceramic tile with Serpento blade is 8-9 seconds and with ordinary Hard Ceramics blade is 14-15 seconds.
