Diamond layer.
Counterfeit: the layer height is 10.0 mm with the effective height of 5.5 mm.
Original disc: the layer height is 8.0 mm with the effective height of 7.0 mm. Also, there is a rim groove on the core.
Marking
Counterfeit: the inscription is made with a die stamping and it is smooth to the touch.
Original disc: the inscription is made with a laser graving machine and it has a perceptible roughness.

On the inserted leaf that is attached to every packing of an original disc there is a stamp of our packer.
We have conducted the tests of the counterfeiting diamond disc. Conclusion: Pure concrete cutting is stiff and slipping, and it demands additional efforts of the supply. The disc almost doesn’t work with reinforcement rods (burning, intensive heat of the diamond layer, disk deforming). Self-opening is hard, only on the overheated layer, and mostly all-out. The disc demands a high attention to the diamond layer condition, as the difference between the all-out self-opening and the total cutting disability is insignificant.
You should remember that using of a counterfeit tool reduces the safety of an operator as well as surrounding people, and does not give to the expected results of productivity. Your safety is the most important thing.
All the products of «Di-Star» Company have certificates of the correspondence that issued by Certification Center of diamond and abrasive tools (CC “ALMAZABRASIVE”).
According to VDS (German Association of Abrasive Manufacturers) there are 12 000 accidents happen every year in Germany in the result of using counterfeit tools.
12 000 is a dramatic amount. VDS considers approximately a larger amount in Russia .

All the diamond discs of Di-Star Company not only have symbols of safety "РСт" on the package and in the leaflet, but have been really tested for the quality and production control by the Certification Center РСт.
In 2011 Di-Star Company has signed an agreement on the intellectual property defense with the Federal Custom Service of Russia.
Russian customers should arrest the goods with Di-Star TM that would be transferred across the Russian border with the intellectual property violation, and it would be controlled the counterfeited goods presence in the local distribution network as well.
According to the Law, only a manufacturing company or its official distributor have right to distribute the goods with the registered trade mark (i.e. “Di-Star” is a right holder, and has a number 351122 of the national registration with the priority date of 23.06.2006 for the goods 7, 8, 9, 19 and for the services 36, 37 according to the International goods and services classification (IGSC), as well as “Di-Star” is also registered under #100943 in the international registration).

But the counterfeit tools seller either do not have any agreements with the Company nor do not have any documentation for transferring these goods across the borders.
Falsificated packages and labels mislead the customers. Together with the police the customers will regularly conduct the actions on counterfeit tools detecting and preventing of their selling. Thus, in 2011 the customers plan to check all the diamond tools, even from other package covers.
All the tools will be sent for expertise. On its result a criminal case would be brought or a fine will be imposed. 100 % of the criminal cases from the custom are worn in the court. The sum of a fine may be estimated in hundreds thousands of RUR.
